Jessica -

" I was an English teacher for 14 years. During the school year, I spent my evening time away from my family, sequestered in a different room of the house while I did my planning, assessments, report cards, parent contacts. etc. When everyone else was relaxing and enjoying their Sunday, I was doing more of the same. I was stressed out all the time because there was always more to do and there was never enough time to do it. This put a strain on all of my relationships because I was always on edge. I calculated the time outside of the school day that I spent doing my work and although teachers get lots of time off, I actually only had about 2 weeks of vacation once I tallied up all the other time I spent working. The pay was pretty good after 14 years, but the stress level was destroying my me.

When I had my first daughter, I stayed home for a year with her. It was blissful to be able to NOT be stressed out all the time. But as the year came to an end, so did my calm. I was back to the grind, and now had a one year old at home who needed me. I was pregnant with my second baby when I began the school year. We had put our condo and my rental property on the market, and began the work for prepping them for sale. All the while working a full time teaching job with a one year old at home. We were in the throes of property sales and moving until February. Needless to say, the stress amplified by a hundred! Working out was not even a thought considering the time constraints I had. After my second daughter was born, I took 1/2 year off. My body was in the worst shape ever and I felt horrible. That summer I began working out with Focus T25 and a challenge group. I began to feel stronger, fitter, and powerful as I began to feel in control of me again. I loved the challenge group and posted all the time. My coach recognized that I might be good at coaching and began to talk to me about it. I signed up in October and in three and a half quick weeks became Emerald and started to reap the benefits of my first rank advancement. I went back to teaching part time in the spring while doing Beachbody coaching on the side. Working part time as a teacher actually wasn’t bad, but what I was making with coaching was rivaling what I made from teaching after paying the nanny. I decided, despite loving my new part time teaching schedule, that I would quit teaching, stay home with my girls and focus on building my business. Now I am a full time mom/Beachbody coach and live a much more stress free existence, yet still get to utilize many of the skills I developed as a teacher over the years. Now I have goals and purpose. I set my own schedule. I get to be there for the important moments. I get to make a difference in people’s lives. I get to still bring in an income. I love my life!"

Crystal -

"I have been a personal trainer and fitness instructor for the past 12 years. I am passionate about health & fitness and live and breath it. I became a coach with Beachbody for 2 main reasons: I wanted to be able to help/reach more people with a system that works and I wanted to make more money without being away from my son.

I was skeptical at first, as I thought that this was another "pyramid scheme" and really honestly knew nothing about it. My father in law started as a coach a few months before me and researched the company thoroughly and after talking long and hard with him about it (and asking a million questions) I decided to try it out. I was highly impressed by Shakeology --- which says a lot because I consider myself a food snob (in the best sense)  And once I started doing the workouts I was 100% behind Beachbody. These were for real! I didn't have any huge expectations or goals when I first embarked on this journey ---my highest thought was to hopefully within a year, earn $2, 000 /month to put into savings for a house/retirement/education fund, etc.  Since being a part of a great team and hearing/seeing such amazing inspirational stories every week, I realize that I needed to "dream bigger." Now my goal is to triple my current income within a year. And even though it's scary to say that out loud, I know that it is possible with this amazing company. I couldn't have asked for anything better....I get to help more people than I ever could've reached within my own face to face business, I get to provide financial comfort and stability for my family doing something I love and I get to grow and build my personal and professional self."

Chelsea -

"I never got the chance to start any kind of ‘career’ before I became a mom. I had Kennedy weeks before getting my bachelor’s degree and the only work experience I had was being a nanny and babysitting. My original goal and plan was to continue my education and get a master’s degree so I could become a social worker or counselor to help people. But doing that meant sacrificing a lot of time and money. I just wasn’t up for sacrificing that kind of time and money away from my family because I really wanted to be there for my kids and be a stay at home mom, which my husband’s job allowed me to do. As a mom I was truly happy being able to stay home but still something was missing. I really wanted to have some kind of career path or greater purpose and provide more income for our family so we would have more financial freedom to take more vacations and just be more financially free. Since I had been through my own weight loss and fitness journey after high school and then again after I had my children, I grew a passion for health and fitness. Since I have always had that passion for helping other people I knew having a career in fitness would allow me to do that! What better way to make people feel better about themselves then helping them lose weight and get healthy! So I came across the coaching opportunity. And of course I was skeptical at first.. I had seen these network marketing companies before filled with all kind of promises of success. So I did my research and asked a lot of questions before getting started. Once I saw that my only expenses were my own daily investments to my own health with Shakeology and a very low business service fee of 15.95 to manage all my websites I knew that wasn’t a bad deal! My husband owns 3 businesses and it costs him a lot more to keep those up. I also saw a great opportunity with Beachbody’s success club program.. I knew if I made that my minimal goal I would be for sure be guaranteeing myself a weekly paycheck. I did that. I also chose to be a Beachbody coach because I LOVE their programs and products and know they work, and because I never wanted to be involved with a company that required me to have a bunch of inventory or to host home parties all the time or required me to make or sale a certain quota in order to earn money.

My very first year as a coach I earned Success Club each month which created a weekly pay check that grew over time and also earned myself and my family a free trip to Disney World! Now that I have been a coach for nearly two years I am just an awe with this company. They spend so much time, money, and effort to provide us the resources for us to be successful. I had the opportunity to meet with our CEO and the co-founder of this amazing company at our last year big Summit event and let me tell you these people are as real as can be and TRULY care about helping people. They have such integrity when it comes to quality and putting their name on a product or program. They are not at all about cutting any corners to make more profits. I don’t know any other CEO that would have that kind of integrity! Like I said my husband is a businessman and entrepreneur so I know that sometimes you have evaluate and cut costs sometimes. But these guys DON’T, they are GREAT business men but they make sure that they always have the customers and coaches BEST interest at heart! This business purely focuses on self-development and encouraging you to always be working on yourself to be better then you were yesterday. I am SO happy that I finally am getting back to my real self and getting realigned in my own health. It makes me a better mom, wife, and coach! If you are considering becoming a coach I invite you to go ahead and dive in!! You have nothing to lose except some pounds and some fat! Why not invest in your own health and begin your own journey in building yourself up while reaching out and helping others along their journeys! Be that example, grow into that leader, start a life for yourself and work your way to becoming more financially and physically FIT!"

Trina -

"When I was introduced to Beachbody in 2011 I was skeptical, but I jumped right in because I knew I wanted a way to accomplish two things in my life and a $300 commitment (we didn’t have challenge pack deals back then) to join was a no brainer compared to tens of thousands of dollars and a bunch of risk to start my own business. The investment was worth it. If the business wasn’t going to work for me then I still had the products to use at home. The decision to join was simple.

These were my goals.

1. I needed to get healthy. I was overweight and had been since giving birth to my son in 2007. I knew most of my family was unhealthy and I was heading down that same path.

2. I wanted so badly to figure out a way to work from home. My life changed when I had a child but I knew I wanted to be home with him. I wanted to be the one who took him to school. I wanted to get to know his teachers and volunteer in his classroom and do arts and crafts or go for a bike ride after school. I wanted to be the one who cuddled him when he was sick.  Besides, I was tired of building someone else’s dream. A dream, quite frankly, he didn’t know he wanted until I laid the groundwork for him. (That is a story for another day! You live and learn, right?)

I joined in June 2011. I hit Emerald right away because well.. Beachbody gives you customers and team bonuses at that level- no brainer. I was so focused on my business and the products that I simply never learned what I was really here to do. HELP people. I was always learning personal development, writing blogs, posting ads, talking to leads, and I was growing steadily but not fast enough to get me out of my J.O.B. I achieved the Diamond Coach rank in June 2012. Then I became distracted by life and the typical events, basically making excuses as to why I had something more important to do than focus on achieving my goals. I was less consistent in the business and I noticed that my business was STILL growing, but slower than I wanted. Consistency is KEY in this business. You need to know what you want and set the plan to achieve it. I continued growing slowly introducing the products to people I knew, but still never really getting it quite right.

In December 2012, everything changed. My father was hospitalized and died very quickly from leukemia. His type of leukemia was generally brought on by environmental factors.  ie: what you eat, chemicals you expose yourself to, etc. He has been obese and unhealthy for most of his life and he made choices to ignore his health. It cost him the ultimate price and unfortunately his children and grandchild suffer the loss. I was guilt ridden because I KNEW I had oodles of tools at my disposal to HELP him, but I was focusing my business on ‘selling’ rather than helping. I won’t ever get that chance to know if I could have really helped him, but it sparked a fire in me to want to help others like him. I was able to grow my business to this level by ‘selling’ but I was watching other Coaches, NEW coaches, build their business much faster by HELPING others! It’s what we do as Coaches! It’s the very foundation of this business! It’s a movement to change the world we live in and change our own lives as we build our business.

This business is not about P90X or Shakeology. As one elite coach said, “the products are a tangible way of charging for your talents.” Beachbody has done a fantastic job marketing their products. They have mastered the infomercial market, they don’t need Coaches to sell products, they NEED Coaches to help create the movement to end the trend of obesity. And that is my focus! I know that someday, very soon, I will be able to fire my boss and work from home. Everyday I’m leading by example when I drink what I truly believe is the healthiest shake on the market, when I put on my running shoes and hit the pavement, or press play on my Hip Hop Abs video. I will achieve my goals, but I know they are the bi-product of the effort I put in while I’m making a difference in people’s lives."

Michele -

"I have struggled with my weight all of my life topping my heaviest in 1991 after college. In 1993, I got married and managed to take some weight off afterwards consistently going to exercise classes and finding Jazzercise. I loved Jazzercise and did it for several years continuing after my first child in 2000 but when I had my second child in 2004, the weight was not coming off and I wasn’t getting anything out of those classes anymore. I really needed to do something different. I started taking spin classes which really helped me out. In 2004, I had my second child; however, I finally decided one year after the pregnancy, that I could not get the weight off on my own and I was sick and tired of feeling fat, out of shape and stressed about it. I had to make changes. I started seeing a nutritionist and working out at the gym with a trainer and continued with spinning. I was doing really well and dropped about 20 lbs until Hurricane Katrina hit. We were left with a lot of stress and uncertainty in our lives for about 9 months, where we moved several times, putting our kids in different schools until we were able to rebuild our house and return to New Orleans. Those stressful and depressing months really set me back from my progress, and I gained weight again. Once we finally got back into our house about May, 2007, I had to get back on track.

I got back to the gym, once it reopened and decided to get certified to teach spin so I would be held accountable to myself by teaching at least twice a week. In 2008, I kept seeing the infomercial for P90X, and one day in spin class we were discussing it and my friend and student said she had it and let me borrow it. I realized I could be more productive working out at home anyways because everyone wanted to talk and chat at the gym, that I couldn’t really focus on myself and with everyone stopping me to chat, half of my day was wasted. At about the same time, my husband was looking to cut time as well going to and from the gym, and we felt this was the answer and something we would do together. We committed to the 90 day program and converted our garage to a home gym. After finishing our 90 days, we were so proud of our accomplishments and by far in the best shape of our lives for 40! We went on and completed P90X Plus and P90X2 since that time, committing to continue to our own health and fitness and be role models for our 2 kids. Currently, I have lost a total of almost 40 lbs and kept it off for five years now!!

I had people asking me both in spin class and in general when I ran into them what I had done to transform, and I just promoted and praised the P90X program all the time (and so did my husband). I actually had a friend buy it and get in the best shape of her life too! Now, fast forward to January, 2013. I have been working part time doing some customer satisfaction surveys and 2 of my larger clients were cutting back and no longer paying me through the end of January 2013, so I had to find a way to supplement that income that I was losing. I really wanted to find an opportunity or franchise of something that I really would enjoy and I loved helping people. I was already offering advice for nutrition and exercise and really enjoyed helping others too. As I was searching, everything required going back to school or several years of study and I did not want to go that route starting a new career again as a nutritionist, dietician or even life coach. I wanted to have a business I could work from home that I would really enjoy and that would supplement my husband’s income and help pay off some debt, while at the same time, giving me the flexibility to take care of the family as a wife and mom. I had never looked on Craigslist before and knew there were some listings there. Since I had been looking for awhile, I figured I would just browse and see what there was. Well, guess what! I ran across the coaching opportunity. It was almost a no brainer to become a coach because I loved Beachbody and P90X and I was already sharing my experience and results as well as recommending the programs to others (and so was my husband). Also in comparison to franchise fees and other start up business ideas that I was considering, it was really so reasonable and if I didn’t like it or it didn’t work out, I had nothing to lose! I could get my money back and walk away with very little invested. In addition, I was already a product of the product. and I was already sharing about P90X with friends and family. This opportunity has been a blessing and I really feel I was in the right place at the right time. I am very excited to be able to be part of Beachbody and make money doing what I was already doing, sharing the business. Plus, for me, keeping the weight off is always a work in progress so to be able to help others stay motivated and accountable, helps me to do the same, creating a win win situation.

I have no doubt that I will be successful in this business. I am learning from the best coaches and what I have to do to achieve the highest rank of 15 Star Diamond for both my business and my husband’s business. My goals for this year are to hit 2 Star Diamond and quit my part time job so I can focus fully on Beachbody. My future plans also include hitting Elite coach, helping at least 100 people a year get healthy and fit through my monthly challenge groups, pay off all of my debt and create a financial nest egg to be able to give my kids the things that they want, send them to college with no loans, to retire and travel with my husband and get that beach condo I have always wanted to have."

Shari -

"I joined Beacbody last year and I was really excited to join, I had done P90 and P90x as well as an attempt at Insanity and really loved those products and believe in a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately the timing of when I had joined proved to be a bit overwhelming for me and I ultimately ended up putting this journey on hold until I could get myself together and find the time to focus on the business. In the mean time, I maintained my membership and allowed my status to change to inactive. I had been following the posts on Facebook of others accomplishments but more importantly listening to the words of encouragement, others successes and the positive attitude towards life. I am newly a mother of 2 (son born 1/23) and now more than ever believe in a positive outlook and attitude towards life and in projecting that to others. There is such limited time for most of us and wasting it on ill thoughts is not something I am interested in making time for.

In late December, there was a post for the PUSH challenge with Chalene Johnson. I knew that after my son was born I wanted to reconnect with Beachbody in order to better myself and really develop my business. I decided to sign up for the PUSH challenge, hoping for some inspiration, maybe some good advice as well. I have gotten that and so much more!!! I can tell you it has changed my thinking. My top priorities in life remain the same, be a great wife and mother, attain financial freedom, be successful and healthy. But I found I was not doing even a fraction of what I could be doing to truly improve my position in life and to make my goals/dreams a reality. After 3 days, I had already recommended the challenge to 10 different people. I had my husband working along with me to figure out his goals and learn how to make them a reality. We have been crippled by fear of failure and that is the worst excuse for not trying. On one of my first to do lists was to reach out to one that has succeeded in this venture.  I am making Beachbody a priority and reaching my goals for myself, my husband, and our children. I get inspiration to push myself to learn more and to go for it every day from this team. You can't be successful if you never try.

It is not an option, I will succeed. I will get in better physical shape for myself and family. I will help my family get into a better financial position. I will see this journey through and make an honest, dedicated attempt with the business. I owe it to myself, to my husband, and to the team for guiding me in the right direction.

Thank you for all that you do to inspire and push others to believe in themselves and succeed in reaching their goals!  I hope to inspire others in the way that I have by becoming a part of Beachbody."

Tawnya Jean -

"My name is Tawnya and I'm a mom of three, I work in a restaurant and am crazy over-scheduled with soccer, piano, 4H, play dates, etc. Life often gets in the way of fun excursions or doing something serious and grown up like getting my degree. But from the moment I saw BB for what it was I thought HOLY COW THIS IS FOR ME! I was about 15 pounds overweight when Jayme introduced me to the idea and I saw it for everything that it is! Get healthy, help others, get paid, repeat! I'm currently in an Insanity/P90X hybrid program (available in your teambeachbody.com auto-scheduler) and I love it. I'm addicted to Shakeology now instead of Diet Pepsi and MickeyD's. I share and love everything I know and can't wait to grow my business in the most positive uplifting environment I have ever been a part of!! I feel lucky and fortunate to be part of this amazing team!! xoxoxox"

Annette -

"My past, present and future with Beachbody

Where to begin……I would suppose it safe to say that I was/am tired of living paycheck to paycheck and knowing full well that, “there has got to be more….there has got to be something better.” I was working full-time+ for the Target Corporation running the Logistics department. Unloading the trucks was not a bad thing, in fact, I loved it. I considered it my, “a.m. workout.” The downfall? Someone else was making a boat-load of money while I, quite literally, worked my tail off never making the kind of money that I know I was deserving of.

I happened upon Kristi's ad and answered it, more out of curiosity than anything. I had just finished school through the National Council of Strength and Fitness, getting my Personal Trainers Certification. I wanted to put into practice what I am passionate about: HEALTH and FITNESS, which is what her ad conveyed. I started with Beachbody with a bit of trepidation. But, I knew that I could make it work because of my love for helping others reach their health and fitness goals, and my passion for healthy living and training the body. I had heard horror stories about working in gyms with a certification, so I embarked on working for ME.  Beachbody was the vehicle for doing that because I could integrate my certification into my Beachbody business, all the while, working from home and contributing to our finances. A win/win.

My goal with Beachbody is to reach and help as many people as I can. To either assist them in maintaining their healthy lifestyle, help them to get started on a path to healthy, active living or to help the unconditioned individual embark on a journey of healthy living through motivation, encouragement, nutritional meal plans and workout programs that fit their needs. I feel blessed every day to be a part of something so big, where I can put into action what I love and am passionate about the most……..HELPING OTHERS become better versions of themselves."

Brittany -

"I became a Beachbody Coach the end of January. Initially I became a coach because I needed to lose weight after having my first baby. I decided on P90X2 and Shakeology, being a coach has made me want to work out even more. I feel like it is part of my job now. If I am going to talk the talk then I have to walk the walk. Knowing that your results help the success and credibility of your business, gives you the extra boost to stick with a fitness program.

The second reason was financially motivated. After numerous years of climbing the corporate ladder, I decided to stay home with my baby. I thought that a little extra monthly income would be a good idea to help offset the loss of my salary.

While the reasons above still apply, the real reason why I love being a Beachbody Coach is helping people. I get really excited about sharing what has worked for me with the hope that it inspires someone else to make a positive change. Health and fitness allow you to become the person you can be and I enjoy being catalyst for helping someone to reach those goals and making a significant difference in their life! It’s not just the before and after pictures, although many of the physical transformations will simply blow you away. It’s the mental and emotional and spiritual transformations that are even more pronounced.

One of the things I’ve discovered as a Beachbody coach is the amazing culture within the ranks. Many of the coaches are willing to unselfishly share with not only their customers and coaches that they work with, but with everyone in the organization. Coaches helping coaches, people helping people. I’ve never seen a company culture like this one and I doubt I ever will again. It is truly amazing what happens to people when their focus shifts to helping others.

I am so grateful that the right things converged in my life at the right time to enable me to become a Beachbody Coach. I may be very new and unseasoned, but that doesn’t make my heart any less genuine and sincere about it."

Jody -

"I was a PE and Health teacher before having my three kids. I LOVED teaching kids about Health and fitness. Now, I’m a stay at home mom, but I just needed something. I wasn’t sure what I was looking for, but when I stumbled upon Beachbody and the coaching opportunity, I was intrigued. I love helping people and I had used and loved Beachbody products, so I thought being a coach was a perfect fit for me. I decided it was a good opportunity for me to help others, be motivated to keep up my own fitness and make some extra money for my family all at the same time.

I have now been a Beachbody coach for a little over eight months and I have loved motivating people. I love how I feel about myself and I am happy doing something every day that I enjoy and that makes other people healthy! I’ve been running a challenge group of women doing Brazil Butt Lift. It has been amazing seeing these women encourage each other and work hard to achieve their goals! It has been a daily reward to enjoy their positive energy.

Since I am a stay at home mom, I have a busy schedule. I always try to put my family and home first and do Beachbody on the “side”. I don’t treat this as a full time job…yet. Maybe when my kids are all three in school, I can devote even more time. But even though I work part time when I can, I have been able to achieve a diamond level coach! It’s pretty amazing what being proof of product and sharing in a positive way can do for your business!

I am looking forward to this year and what I can achieve. I will continue to set my goals and reach them and see where it takes me!"

"I have always been active. But I didn't start getting serious about fitness until after I had my first baby. I decided that I was going to do a triathlon to get back in shape from my pregnancy. And I did it! It was the most fun I had had in a long time, setting a goal and challenging myself to complete it. As time went on I think that I got comfortable. I just bounced along the day to day activities and decided that this was it. I was a wife, mom, and dental hygienist. I was ok with that.

And then I met my neighbor, Jody. She was so positive and motivational. I was excited to meet someone who was also a runner and willing to get up really early to do it!

She told me about Beachbody Coaching one morning while we were running. It sounded interesting. So after a few months of looking at the website over and over I decided it was time to jump in with both feet!

I won't say that being a coach has come easy to me. There are weeks that I struggle balancing, home, work and Beachbody. My family hasn't been completely behind me in this either. Thinking that it is another "Mary Kay sales thing." Jody has been a good upline coach and friend. She is patient with me and I appreciate that because sometimes I am afraid I am not pulling my "weight" in this business and working for our team! But I believe in the product and the philosophy behind it. I know what good can come from being active and choosing to live a healthier lifestyle. I really love Beachbody's programs and Shakeology! I have a VHS version of Power 90 that I bought probably 15 years ago and I was still doing it until my VCR took a dive a few years ago!

My goal is to continue to motivate others. I try to lead by example everyday. No matter what happens in this business, if I become a high ranking diamond or stay at emerald, I will be proud of myself for pursuing a new goal and getting out of my comfort zone to reach that goal."

Melissa D -

"I’ve been in the health and fitness industry for about 13 years.   I started as a Personal Trainer, went into management and then went back to one on one and group training.   I loved being a trainer and helping people reach their goals.  I especially loved working with people who were new to exercise.  It was so exciting to see them gain the benefits of eating healthier and regular exercise!

After the birth of each of my girls, I decreased the amount I was training and teaching classes, and then in May 2011, I stopped completely.  I had been dealing with post-partum depression and my husband was going through some health issues of his own.  During this time I hit some challenging moments with myself, my confidence and who I was as a person and as a mother.  Doctors suggested getting on antidepressants.  For a brief moment I considered the antidepressants, but found the strength to do some research on alternative methods for treating depression.  I’ve always used exercise to get through other challenging times in my life, but realized since becoming a mom, my diet was lacking.  With the new knowledge I gained with my research, I worked on improving my diet and added some natural supplements.

After about a year of focusing on my health, I started to feel better, but still lacked that confidence to go back to helping others with their own health and fitness journeys.  It was at that time that my good friend told me about the Beachbody Coach opportunity, and I thought it would be a good “re-entry” for me into the health and fitness world.   I had been wanting to try Insanity, so that was the program I started with, but I was hesitant about Shakeology, as I had been working really hard to eat clean and doubted the ingredients in Shakeology.  However, after reading more on the ingredients and then using it daily, I had no doubt I was investing in a product that was improving the quality of my life.  Shakeology took me to that next level of health that I was still lacking with diet and supplements alone.  My mood improved, my energy increased, I was thinking more clearly and was out of that “brain fog” that I had been in for so long.  I was also able to shed the last of my baby weight, which was such bonus!

Little did I know when I became a coach 1 year ago, that it was going to be the fuel to my fire!  Being a coach and being part of a supportive team was what I needed to take my own health and fitness to another level and restore my confidence to get back into helping others live healthier.

After attending my first Beachbody Summit Conference this past June, I have bigger goals for myself, and a vision for my team.  I want to lead a team of people who are committed to improving their lives in order to be role models for their own friends, families and their community.  I have realized that alone I can only reach so many people, but together as a team, we can be a part of something bigger than just us- we can spread the health and fitness bug and end the trend of obesity!

I have no regrets about taking on this opportunity. I have regained confidence in myself and I know, now, that I am a person who can make a difference in other’s lives.  I’m so excited about all of the opportunities that being a Beachbody Coach presents to me and I look forward to growing into that leader I know I am capable of being."

Mandy -

"I’m a teacher.

I’m a mom to a 3 ½ year old. I’ve been working a job that hasn’t  fulfilled me for a long time. It’s been flexible, it’s given me benefits, but I’m bored. I work in a town where it is really tough to get a teaching job because EVERYONE wants to live here. I got a job at an alternative school teaching at risk kids. I’ve been there for 6 years and I’m tired. It’s draining, taxing, and it is WAY different than a regular school. In fact, my job is actually in danger of being cut and I wasn’t sure what to do. To go back to school is a lot of money and I’d have to start at the bottom of whatever career I chose. I don’t want to teach in the public school because, at this point, I am over public education. I want to teach, but not in a school

The good part is that about 5 years ago I started teaching a nutrition class. I showed them Food, Inc. and my world was changed forever. I stopped eating meat. I started reading “The China Study” and watching more documentaries on food and the connection to disease. I realized that THAT is what I wanted to teach people. How to prevent disease, how to cook food they didn’t know existed, how to feel healthy! How our diet and our lifestyle affects everything.

So I looked into the schooling to become a nutrition coach and I couldn’t afford it. I did not want to accumulate any more debt than we have. I felt stuck. I felt like I didn’t know what the heck I was going to do after this job. I knew a regular teaching job would take more time away from my son and give me less time to pursue nutrition!  But I knew that it would also mean more money for us. There had to be a better way.

I started looking through Craigslist. I was looking at fitness jobs, anything nutrition related, education related…I wasn’t sure what I was looking for. But I came across Kristi’s ad. I replied. She got back to me with the Beachbody opportunity and I told her I wasn’t interested. I had been in a few other network marketing companies and I just wasn’t interested in another.

I let it simmer. At the same time I started thinking about how I wanted to gain some muscle! I had just joined a gym and found that my body fat was at 26%! I was not happy about that because I had always thought of myself and active and healthy and to hear that was not what I wanted for myself.

I went back to the videos and watched them. I had thought about buying Insanity at one point but thought it might be too hard, but now I was up for a challenge.

About a week or two later Kristi got back to me to see if I was still interested. I said maybe and she set up a call with me. Honestly after I talked to her, I wanted to join. She was so young and motivated and excited about what she was doing. She was able to quit her job within 2 years of being with the company, started out working part time, and was training for an Iron man at the same time. It sounded as if she really loved what she did and she was really helping people reach their goals! I wanted to help people reach goals too!

I always knew that you needed to surround yourself with successful people if you wanted to be successful. I always felt like I was capable of so much more than I have been doing (career wise). After learning more about the possibilities with Beachbody, and the huge supportive team I would be joining, and the fact that as part of the job you are expected to WORK OUT, I realized that this would be a great fit for me. If she could do it, why couldn’t I? With her support and with the training Beachbody was providing, there was no reason I couldn’t succeed.

Now, I can say that one of the best parts about this job is the personal development. It can touch so many facets of my life. So many things I have been reading and hearing I just wonder why we don’t learn about these things in school? It makes so much sense. It’s my business, I can work it when I want, part time, around my schedule.

And I am already helping people. I have started Challenge groups, I have reached out to the customers that Beachbody has given me for becoming an Emerald coach, I am starting to earn some money – I already earned back what invested and am starting to earn more money. I am not about to stop!"

"I have always been interested in health, specifically natural. From a young age I would make concoctions out of plants and try to get my family members to drink them. Throughout my life I struggled with mild depression, until one day I decided to do something about it, before going to see a doctor who would put me on meds. I started researching nutrition and natural health for depression and ended up discovering a world I never imagined. I am now an herbalist and a nutritionist, after going through a two-year program to get certified in both. I own my own store in my town where I see clients to help them with their health issues in a way that isn't as damaging to their systems. Exercise is a crucial component to the whole-health picture, but I am not in a place to become a personal trainer, so when I found BeachBody I knew it was the way to go for me. I could offer my clients something that worked, while also being able to keep them motivated and accountable myself. I LOVE working with people to correct their health issues, and BeachBody is another piece to the puzzle that I have to offer."
