These are a great (and healthier!) alternative to your normal cheeseburger.

Here's what you'll need:

1/4 c. quinoa (dry)

1/2 can black beans

2 tbsp. panko

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. ground cumin

1 tsp. red pepper flakes

1 egg white

Arnold whole-wheat sandwich thins

Toppings of your choice: lettuce, onions, tomatoes, mustard, ect.

I personally went with lettuce, jalapeno, and 1 tbsp. guacamole

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Rinse and cook your quinoa to package directions.

Once cooked, mix the black beans and quinoa together in a large bowl.

Add panko, spices, and then your egg white. Mix together well.

Split the burger mixture up evenly and then roll into balls.

Place on a baking sheet then flatten out into patties.

Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through baking time (it's kind of hard to flip them so be careful!)

Enjoy!
