How to Become Financially Stable

I know what you are thinking. We could ALL be more financially stable, but some of us... including myself, need a littttle more help than others. I was about 20K in debt (not including what my new hubby owes), and unsure of how to get what I REALLY wanted in life.
Let's face it, regular jobs just are not always secure. I know so many people who have been laid off or fired, and I am sure that you do as well. And even if you do feel secure, chances are you are in an income cap until your boss decides you are worth a raise-- which who knows when that will happen. 50 cents in six months? A dollar in a year?
Others are working hard, but are overworked and underpaid. I was one of those people for several years. Wit no extra time or any freedom, I always wondered if there was a better way - something more out there. There had to be! The question is... what is the fastest, most dependable way to become financially independent and stable? How do you stop looking for the next opportunity or the next part-time job for extra income?

I used to be that person who dreaded going to work. In my last job, my boyfriend at the time would have to comfort me every morning before work because I hated my job so much. I am not normally an unhappy person... I was just so sick and tired of what I was doing. I made maybe $300-$500 per week, and I felt like I worked all the time - long hours, and there was SO much drama with other employees - you know, the people who ALWAYS have to be in your business and are ALWAYS negative. I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment and saw no room for growth, in my work life or in myself. I was stuck.
After finding a way out, i've been talking to more and more people who felt like me - people who say "TGIF" every week, because they finally get those two days per week where they don't have to work nonstop and get to be themselves. They don't have to be talked down to by bosses and managers who don't truly know better than them, and they don't have to live this life where they are not happy. Don't get me wrong, I also talk to people all the time that ARE happy at work- the people are nice, the hours are okay, they enjoy what they do.. but just aren't making the type of income that they deserve or need, and were like me in the way that there has been no real growth opportunities for them in their company. And if there were, it was going to take them YEARS to get there. They really need that extra income. No matter what the reason, there is SOMETHING that is causing them to look for other or additional opportunities.
The average person works all year just to be able to have the 2 weeks for vacation. They may get extra days off here and there- if they are sick or have an emergency. They have debt- a lot of which may be from student loans, because they went to school to get a job that is still barely paying the bills. And again, not everyone is in that situation. Some people have good paying jobs and feel comfortable. But are they truly living? Are they truly happy? Maybe. But the majority are not. The majority of people are dreading their alarm clock and are stuck in traffic 5-6 days per week. There is no real happiness in what they are doing. And lot of people have to worry. What if your car breaks down? What if your rent goes up?
I finally was able to see the difference and change my mindset. I needed to take charge of my world and put MY future in MY hands.

You CAN control your future. If I can take control of mine- a broke, ex-waitress, shot girl, and customer service employee.. who only completed half of cosmetology school before dropping out and had NO idea what I was going to do, no real goals, dreams, or purpose in life except for the feeling that I NEEDED more out of life - ANYONE CAN!
In my previous positions, I think the most that I EVER made was $700 in one week. Even when I was working two restaurant jobs AND a bar job 2 nights per week (and not just a hole in the wall.. I worked at a very popular and busy bar in my hometown of Kansas City). There were a couple days per week that I worked 10 am - 5 am. I was basically making anywhere from $8-$11 per hour working 50-60 hours per week. NOT worth it!
The majority of people on the top 10 and 1 percent of income earners ($148K - $521K+ according to usfunds.com) are entrepreneurs. These are people who are financially free and secure. These are people who run their own businesses, instead working for someone else's dream - at the bottom of a company, working years and years, non-stop for the people at the top to make all of the money. There are no limits to what they can achieve. They aren't limited to $12 per hour, or a $40K salary. They are no longer limited to waiting every 5 years for a $1 raise. They are no longer stuck working someone else's hours. They are no longer living by someone else's rules.
But how do you become an entrepreneur if you don't have six figures to invest in starting a business? If you don't have a business idea or plan?
The answer, for me, was to become a Coach with Team Beachbody, the parent company of in home fitness programs such as P90X, Insanity, 21 Day Fix, Hip Hop Abs, PiYo, ect ect ect. Personally, this business model has allowed me to leave the jobs that I was no longer happy with, and really find and work for my goals. I have had the opportunity to move from my hometown of Kansas City to Hawaii, and then Florida, just because I felt like living by the beach and wanted to find the right place. In a couple of years, I have lived a life that I almost have to pinch myself because I cannot believe that it's happening to me! This business started as a way to make income from home while working on my own schedule, but it's become so much more. I've grown as a person, i've become a leader, i've changed lives, i've HELPED people, i've built a successful business, i've traveled, i've lost weight and inches, i've been able to set my own schedule and work on my own time, i've become healthier, i've been able to finally BE HAPPY!
As a Coach, you to have all of the aspects of the business that are already successful given to you- the proven products with customers who are already using and talking about their success, million dollar advertising campaigns, a proven system that has worked for others, and training that is already set up for you- there is NO questioning what to do or how to do it. It's already been laid out for you.. you just have to commit to learning. And NO, you don't have to ask your parents to buy from you. You do not have to create anything from scratch or reinvent the wheel. You don't have to invest thousands, or millions. In these aspects, it does SEEM like a job. Expect, there is no employer. You are your own boss.
Just an an example... I shop online ALL the time. My husband, Geoff, and I have been thinking about redecorating the house and getting new furniture. I was looking on Overstock at decor, and found this rug that I LOVED. One of my girlfriends is also redecorating, so we were sending each other items that we liked and commenting on how much we liked them. I decided against the rug, but my friend ended up buying it. We recommend things ALL the time- from what I was doing, to simple things that the restaurants that we love our our new laundry detergent that just smells soooo amazing. What if you got paid a commission for those recommendations? The company would take care of the logistics, ship the product, take care of the billing... you just have to find the people who need that product (social media is a wonderful tool for this), then recommend it to get paid. Of course, Overstock doesn't do that, but Team Beachbody does. You recommend products to people, and you get paid. And let me be very clear- I am not sure about other network marketing companies- but in what I do- I truly don't consider it SALES. We are people who change the lives of others. We HELP them. WE get to KNOW them and build a relationship. We RECOMMEND the best program/product for them, and the guide them, inspire them, motivate them, provide them with tips and support throughout their journey. You do not sell a product and then never speak to your client again. The key lies in the ongoing communication and support. We are coaches, not sales people. Just like a personal trainer would recommend a gym membership to work with them.
The best benefit, in my opinion, is that we not only make commissions, but there are several OTHER ways to make an income. I always said that I would NEVER work a 'job' that was commission-based, but for me, I saw the HUGE potential in these others sources of income from the compensation plan. On top of commissions from products, you are also able to build a team of other people who are looking to make some extra income or work for themselves, and YOU make bonuses from the sales of the entire team opposed to just yourself. This is how people are making six figures and seven figures per year. They have a strong team of people working with them to reach a mutual goal of everyone on the team succeeding. We work as a team, and we succeed as a team... making resudual income that allows us to take time off and still make a paycheck, or only work 5 hours one week and make the same or even more as the week before. Awesome, right?!
Some people will say "that sounds like a pyramid scheme", but what do you think a regular company does? As Donald Trump says - a corporation has one person at the top, usually the CEO, with managers in the middle, and all of the other people are at the bottom. Doesn't that also look like a pyramid? If you were a sales manager for a company, you would be in charge of hiring additional sales employees. You wouldn't think that was weird. People just aren't as informed on network marketing and how it works, so they are unsure or scared. As a sales manager, you could hire 50 new sales people for the company, and you would still make the same amount of income each week. As a network marketer, you could bring 50 people onto your team, and you would be giving yourself a raise with every single person that decided to join you. And it's not just about you.... you are helping these people CHANGE THEIR LIFE! It's an incredible feeling to watch someone pay off debt, leave their job to stay at home with their children, or buy that dream house.

And yes, there ARE actual "pyramid schemes", that is a real thing. It's just very different than network marketing. A pyramid scheme is an illegal operation where people pay the person above them to join the company. There no products or services being offered. You can never out-rank or out-earn your upline. They normally get shut down very quickly (since they are illegal), so there is no long-term potential. Real network marketing companies have a service or product, and the other people's start up fees are NOT paid to those above them, but to the company itself for their websites to be made. My husband also runs an online business and he also paid to have a website made. I just did it for cheaper, and have millions of dollars in advertising just given to me each year by the company, so it saves me A LOT of $$$.
Other people may say it's a "scam" because there is a small investment. But let's be honest, I've paid for EVERY job i've ever had. Black pants, non-slip shoes, 8 million pens, new work shirts if mine got dirty because we only got one for free when we started, college, a whole new office-appropriate wardrobe that I never wore outside of work, GAS money. Every job costs you in some way. It is just a personal preference on if you would prefer to put $30 in gas to get to work for the week, or $15 once per month on website hosting and upkeep. Your future is worth the small investment, especially with a 30-day money back guarantee.
So now that we have talked about the benefits and some of the misconceptions, Let's get real for a second. Being a Coach is simple in the fact that as a successful coach, I will teach you eveything that I know and everything that I do to succeed and all you have to do is follow the plan. BUT, is not easy, it's not a get rich quick opportunity, and you do have work put time and effort in. You will have good days and bad days. You will get frustrated, and you will feel challenged. You will have to develop yourself- You do have to work on personal development and finding your niche, but I am always here to help guide you along the way ... IF you take advantage of that. I had NO idea how to be a Coach when I started, but just like any other job, I put in the time to train and I learned how to build a successful business. I learned how to find people who are interested. I learned how to talk to people and build relationships. I learned how to find out WHY a person wants and NEEDS this- whether that be a client or a coach on my team.
Most people are also searching for answers and new opportunities, you just have to find them. But a lot of people will not understand it. People will be negative and tell you that it's a scam and there is no way you will be successful. I've had someone tell me I would NEVER make an income in this business model (It was on a Thursday- payday- and I just had $750 deposited into my account via direct deposit. I hung up on them- I don't need negativity and they are obviously not right for my team.) If you can handle that, and take the bad with the good, you will succeed. You will be unstoppable. You will learn and grow. And in the beginning, you will do a lot of things that you don't get paid for. You will work on building your client base and your team and you will put in time and effort before you see your 1st paycheck. But after a year or so, you will get paid for a lot of stuff that you DON'T do. I made $800 the week of my wedding while I was away, I didn't even work for one minute. But I built my business for residual income. Are you willing to work hard for YOUR dreams and YOUR goals? You run your business through your laptop or tablet. You use social media to your advantage. And you can work hard for 4-5 years to be financially independent, to where you are working less and spending more time with your family, for yourself, or for your hobbies. The time is going to pass anyway.
It IS worth it. I could NEVER imagine that I would be able to control my own financial situation before. But beyond that... it's worth it for the people that you are going to help, and the friendships that you will develop. You will change as a person, in a positive way.

I LOVE this business. The greatest reward is teaching somebody something and watching them reach and SURPASS their goals. Life is too short to live someone elses dream It's your life, you can make it happen.
